Recycled Bulletin Board

I did not want to "buy" a bulletin board for my desk so I looked around to see what we had on hand to make one

I had this white frame that I used in many ways for decorating.

I had some cardboard and thin foam too in my "junk" box

I turned the frame around and added a piece of cardboard to it with glue
I used the pushpins to hold the carboard until the glue set

Once the glue was dry... a few hours later I then turned the frame over

I then added the foam by gluing it down to the cardboard

I decided to use paper for the background so I added some PINK ribbon to the edges
I then just tacked the paper with button pushpins

And here it is ... all finished

Nice cords eh!

I am pleased with the way it turned out...even though my desk is still CLUTTERED!
Ugh! keepin it real!

Pretty in Pink Desk Makeover

The hubby picked it up for me for $29.00 at Walmart..
It is just what I needed!
A simple place  to put my laptop and a place to put some things I use when I am on my laptop
Right now it is a hodge podge of stuff that can be put elsewhere!

I ended up making a list of all the things I need when I am on the computer
Pens ~ Ruler (for etsy) ~ Notebook ~ Hand Sanitizer ~ Note Cards
That is really it!
All the rest is clutter~

I wanted a pink and white and black look and decided to create goodies that make me smile when I am at my desk
Here is the LINK to my notebook from  last week

And now here are two more projects that I created this week

Hand Sanitizer Bottle and

I did not peel off the label ~ I just covered over it like this

I put some tacky glue on the bottle and used the polka dot paper to cover it

I added a strip of striped pink paper

Then a scallop of pink and a scallop of polka dot and a vintage button
BUT then I decided (before it was dry) that I wanted to add the black

So then to make the pen holder I took a pink bucket that I had for a long time

I glued on a strip of ribbon

then some more chalkboard vinyl from the dollar tree
smoothed over the bumpiness

I created the same paper flower for the top of the bucket

Still to come...
Cute sign and bulletin frame... in a VERY unconventional way!
