Pickle Jar to Candy Jar

I have a problem... I love to recycle jars!
I cannot stop cleaning out jars and making them into something else... functional
The hubby wants to recycle them in the big blue bin on the patio... but I know their beauty!

Take for instance this pickle jar

I etched some shamrocks on it and made it into a St Pattys Day Candy Jar...

All I did was buy a pack of shamrock stickers... use the boarder of the sticker
and

filled in with armour... waited 10mins and washed it off
in the meantime I decoupaged the lid with some plaid green paper

I filled the jar with peanut m&m's
(the color of love from valentines day 1/2 price)

(Yes... there is a glare... )

I plan on maybe adding a ribbon to the neck of the jar... soon... maybe!

Recycled Bulletin Board

I did not want to "buy" a bulletin board for my desk so I looked around to see what we had on hand to make one

I had this white frame that I used in many ways for decorating.

I had some cardboard and thin foam too in my "junk" box

I turned the frame around and added a piece of cardboard to it with glue
I used the pushpins to hold the carboard until the glue set

Once the glue was dry... a few hours later I then turned the frame over

I then added the foam by gluing it down to the cardboard

I decided to use paper for the background so I added some PINK ribbon to the edges
I then just tacked the paper with button pushpins

And here it is ... all finished

Nice cords eh!

I am pleased with the way it turned out...even though my desk is still CLUTTERED!
Ugh! keepin it real!

Really trash to treasure!

I am joining a few hundred parties this coming week (lol)

Including
and
the Shop Your House Party   with this trash to treasure/using only what I had on hand project

Last night I was again throwing a cracker box away
and decided instead to make it into a Valentine banner
I took the box and cut along the corners
So I had 4 strips
I cut each strip in half and then cut a tradtional folded heart
On two of the hearts I added some dollar tree chalkboard vinyl

On the rest I aged and stamped I LOVE U

I then strung them all on a polka dot grosgrain ribbon

~added a few knot bows and hung them on my hutch

I then added a bung of other goodies to go along with this display

I am so sorry the pics are dark...
I added my favorite candies to the candle jar and added ribbon to the jar

I reversed the paper in this frame and tied a bow... along with another jar of my lemon candies

This is the whole hutch together...
Keeping it real I included the hubbys home base basket as I call it.
Anything I find that belongs to him around the house goes into the basket
No more disagreements about his stuff... it is all in the basket!!

Here are the other  other awesome parties I am joining
