Whenever I would stay over my grams when I was a kid she would always have us help her "dress the bed"!
So that is what I decided to do today!
I really love the look of a white bed... all crisp and clean and cloud like.

Normally I put a bottom sheet, top sheet and quilt on our bed and that is it.
It has been so cold here and because I have been reading more in bed I decided to create a cozy yummy white fluffy bed to jump into!
Here is how I dressed our bed!
I started with a set of gray tee shirt sheets
I added a 800 count top sheet (wrinkled as heck)
I added a down comforter
I added a waffle weave blanket
I added a matelasse spread
I added a quilted throw
And then came the pillows....
My hubby loves pillows... and frankly so do I
We each sleep on 3 of them and then there is the fancy one that the hubby sneaks

Making over my bedroom is my goal for this year...
My plan is to cover the small green ones in the same material as the curtains but I have not gotten that far yet!
I am also moving the curtains over the bed over a smidge and I want to get new lamps that I can paint with oil rubbed bronze... no rush though, I have a year to accomplish this goal!

It's been so cold, we've been piling blankets on the bed too! Your's looks much better - everything matches ;)
ReplyDeletethat bed looks so comfortable! I love the green accent pillows. I wish we could sleep under sheets and stuff, but we've never been able to since we've been married. We both burn up at night, and we're both pretty rowdy sleepers and can never keep a top sheet on at night. So we've always just slept under a comforter and that's it.

ReplyDeleteYou guys must be toasty warm. I love pillows myself. I am a body pillow girl all the way. In fact we have 13 pillows total on our bed. Insane!

ReplyDeleteI love whites, too. I don't have enough of them. I am also a 'back sleeper' so the more 'cushy' pillows, the better!! I love the kind that fold in around you, and I turn the rock hard ones into stuffing for more throw pillows!!
