BEFORE
Welcome to a tour of our kitchen...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Obviously you can tell the cabinets were painted
The stove was switched with our old flat top from our apartment
The tile was scrubbed BIG~TIME
We added bead board to the sides of the cabinets too... thank you Rhoda
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a picture of over our sink
I love our sink... it is the one thing I never want to change about our home
It has a hot water dispenser too which is perfect for a cup of tea!
I am thrilled to have a space for my mixer! I see it all the time and I am obligated to use it more often!
I used our pfaltzgraff filigree pattern platter and vinyl letters cut from my cricut to make this sign for over the sink
Bless Us O Lord
I used a command strip and an invisible plate hanger (large size) to hang this plate on TILE
Speaking of the tile
See the tile blocks that are a different color?
I painted those with the wall paint ~ they used to have partridges on them!
The area next to the stove is narrow
This is as you can see where the utensils and the knives are stored
My hubby is a DJ and I picked up this molded record clock (from a real record) at Target for 3 bucks!
I took the doors off the cabinet over the fridge and this is where I store my tea chest and tea accessory basket
Notice the piggie?
This was my in my grams kitchen for as long as I can remember and I inherited it! ... I love having it in mine!
Also there was blue duckies on the soffit... we could not remove them so I sprayed primer over them and finally they were covered
This is the entrance to the kitchen from the side door
I have a basket for mail and I love the sign above it
You can see where I added the bead board wallpaper to the cabinets
This is heading out the side door... You can now see the bead board wallpaper... man do I love that stuff!
How about our portable dishwasher?
I gave up having a house with a built in dishwasher for a house with 2 amazing yards instead!
The poster you see is one of my favorites it reads
Food is love... cook with it and the picture is all foods that are heart shaped
It has amazing colors in it
The curtains you see is our sliding glass door to the patio to that amazing yard :)
My plan is to fill that wall with the plates with all kinds of crisp white plates and platters
This is the wall above our kitchen table
I love the botanical prints and the sign above reads WELCOME
since this is the first wall you see when you enter the side door to our home
Oh and the whole kitchen renovation cost 619... 500 of it was this floor!
I am so glad to have given you all a tour of our new kitchen
It is the room I am most proud of and the one that needed the most help
We knew that it had potential ... not too bad for 119~
