A long winters nap...

If you don't see me around for 2 months... I am in my neglected yard!
We moved here in November and with the exception of raking a bit and taking down some dangerous trees, we did nothing else to the yard.
Prior to that the house was vacant for 3 years...

Here is our yard... in pictures!
BUSHES... coming out ASAP!
Back yard needs to be tilled and re~seeded!
We took down some dangerous trees in Nov ... the house was not breathing because of them
Buds... I think they are forsythia
Too  many roots!!!
St Francis... keeping watch!
English Ivy... I love it!!!

A stump with ivy... boy does that stuff travel... plus an overturned stone bench!
Our side yard!

As you can see we have a lot of work to do
We plan to do most of it ourselves... muscles here we come!!!

I will keep y'all posted with pictures!!
How FUN!!!

  5. It looks like a big project but the satisfaction you will get will be immense.
Have fun and make sure to chill something yummy to drink to enjoy the yard.

  6. Wow, a lot of work but would love to see what you do with it. Be careful you don't pull out some lovely plants thinking they're weeds! I've of people who've done that before not knowing what's in their garden cos they moved in winter.

  9. This depressed me because it reminded me how much work I have to do in my yard. I need to get started before it gets too hot.

    Happy Saturday Sound Off
