St Patricks Day Decorating!

 Joining
Cuisine Kathleen... for her blog crawl!!

St Patrick's Day is my holiday!

After all... my name is Patricia, I am Irish by lineage and married an Irish lad!!
We are all about Parade Day and Banquets and Shamrocks and ... fun!

I have Irish decor (belleek) in my home all year long ~ The day after Valentines Day however I break out all the other goodies!

This year I am lucky because Easter is in April so I do not have to compete with St Patrick's Day for space for Easter!

Here is my mantle!
DANNY BOY... Celtic Woman

The wreath and sign are from Etsy... the Celtic coasters are from the dollar tree

Here is Annie... she was a gift from my mother in law, Annie, who is a huge collector of all things Irish!
HERE is a LINK to my Belleek collection

Too~ra~loo~ra~loo~ra
Irish Lullaby

Over in Killarney
Many years ago,
Me Mither sang a song to me
In tones so sweet and low.
Just a simple little ditty,
In her good ould Irish way,
And l'd give the world if she could sing
That song to me this day.

Chorus:
"Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby."
Here is my corner hutch
The angel is from my Aunt and it has the Irish Blessing on it
Sign is from the dollar tree, I aged it and added the ribbons and fun fur!

Here is my other hutch... all ready for the party!
I added the ribbon and the shamrock twirls
I hung the irish sparkle on a blank frame!

Here is a little doll my In~Laws brought back from Ireland
The claddagh doily was my grandmas!

In the kitchen I have a runner and a small sign and these awesome waffle weave towels... I am just thinking I should put one in the bathroom for a hand towel!

Thank you for stopping by!!

  3. That's really pretty! You don't see too much St Pat's day decorating (at least not as much as other holidays), so this looks fresh and unique.

  10. Impressed that you've already decorated for St. Pat's day! I like it all, but the 'Irish' sign is my favorite b/c I've seen none other like it before. TJ Maxx, here, had some good St. Pat's decor this year. I was tempted & there's still time! LOL!

  13. You really do have some Irish going for you!

How's this though - not as a competition by any means - I just got to thinking about all the things Irish in our family -
My girl's name - Meghan, born on St. P's Day, my maiden name - Murphy and my g-ma is part Irish on my mom's side - sends chills!

Love all your green though - I do try to balance the St.P's stuff so I don't forget Meghan's b-day - but she loves it! She'll be . . . 20 this year! Deep breath from me - wow!

  32. You have some gorgeous pieces - your Belleek pieces are just beautiful.
We have the same taste in Irish music!! And the Irish lullaby is a favorite of mine, believe it or not one of the best renditions is one by Kenny Loggins!

  35. I am "GREEN" with envy! I am Irish and do not decorate for St. Patricks Day! I do not think its a thing the Irish do unlike Christmas where we go all out! I think I will make an effort for next year though after seeing your lovely effort!

  41. Patricia, you rock! You're definitely the one with the best St. Patrick's Day decor. I love the way you've woven together your precious Irish pieces with just-for-fun, inexpensive pieces. It all blends together to make a very festive whole!

By the way, I just love that song. The film Going My Way is a favorite of mine, and that scene always makes me cry.

So if you get a little girl, are you going to name her Erin? Or Colleen? Or do you have another wonderful Irish name up your sleeve?

    Take care, sweetie!
