I am not an expert in fitness
If I was I would not need to add intentional exercise to my day
I would already be doing it

I don't exercise.
Yes I am more than sedentary and at my new job I am active during the day

But I rarely never intentionally exercise!
Things I have going for me in terms of exercise
I enjoy Leslie Sansone DVD's
I purchased a new DVD for Latin Dancing (will give a review soon)
I have a beautiful track a block away
I have a soccer field across the street
I have friends and family within WALKING distance from my home
I have a job that requires me to have FUN
So what is stopping me?

What is causing me to not participate in the above activities?

What is going to make me want to do this?

Some other things that I plan to do is to
Park at the furthest parking lot when shopping
Do an exercise DVD 5 times a week
Take a walk
Walk in place while watching TV
Use 1lb weights while talking on the phone
Vacuum more... :)

I had this same exact blog up for months, til I got rid of all the "too personal" stuff!! Those were seriously my words exactly, just add: "I have an elliptical; I LOVE to exercise; I HAVE a gym membership [which includes a hot tub, sauna and pool]; tons of workout DVDs, weights, toning bands, etc."

ReplyDeleteGood luck- getting into a pattern with an exercise routine is hard- but worth the effort. Check out Beachbody for some videos. They are tough, effective and motivational.
Great ideas!! This is a goal at the top of my list for this year, I HAVE to lose some weight, I am soooo unhealthy! I made hubby drag my treadmill up from the basement and am going to make myself use it daily.
