Oops

I am participating ....

$11.22 scored me a gallon of KILZ ~ OOPS Paint @ Walmart today
I had no intention of buying paint or even painting the doors until Spring
We are planning on a new front door in the Spring anyway BUT for $11.00 I could not pass up the HUGE change this has made to our house!
This is the front door which I sanded and then painted in the first picture and then it is all painted green and ready to go!
To tell you that the difference is HUGE is an understatement!

The first picture is our side door, the main entrance to our house which leads to the kitchen

The door was white (actually a really DIRTY gray)
(I did not take a before pic so this is the door with 1 coat and an improperly hung wreath LOL)
The storm door on the bottom was dirty and scratched and dented due to the mail slot
(we purchased a new mailbox which will go on the side of the door soon)
My inlaws (angels) came down Sunday and cut down all the bushes near this door which were hiding the house
They were on the right and on the left and were just blocking the door as soon as they were removed the sun shined brightly on the house!

I painted the door green and then taped off and painted the metal mail slot green too and I am in the process of making house numbers from my cricut and a welcome for the center of the door

Another pic is coming soon!!!

  3. Your door looks AWESOME!! It sure is a never ending job taking care/remodeling a home but you're making progress. You will need a vacation when this is all said and done.

  4. Stopping in from Metamorphasis Monday (a little late)... I love the door. I want to paint my door but our whole house really needs it and I am afraid as soon as I paint the door the house will look worse! :-)
