Aqua net and Aussie were my BFFs in the 80's
I had BIG hair... still do, sort of!
Sometimes the hubby tells me I am 'rockin the 80's' I take it as a compliment LOL
I remember spraying my hair with hairspray while I was blowing it dry, scrunching it in my hand to bring out the curland
then following up with spraying the sides upward so that my hair resembled a lions mane
I was a hot chick back then!
When I finally tamed my hair a bit and went for a shorter cut I was always disappointed in the sprays until I met BIG SEXY HAIR
My hair is very temperamental... but with BIG SEXY... it always looks good!
I use Spray and Play every day.
Spray and play is just that... it keeps my hair soft but manageable and the style or something resembling a style stays all day.
My hair is naturally curly and will do what it wants to... it is affected by the weather... it is affected by the degree of cleanliness too.
When I spray the big sexy though my super curly humid weather hair becomes all soft and curly like I had a perm... a good one, not a frizzy one.
If I decide not to wash my hair one day, spraying big sexy allows me to finger style my hair into large curls.
When I decide to straighten my hair I can easily do that too by spraying and then brushing my hair... straight.
I will admit that Big Sexy is EXPENSIVE... $16.99 at Ulta for a large can... BUT it lasts me at least 2 months of daily use. A little does go a long way.

I've never tried that Big Sexy hair. I'm still an Aussie girl, although I don't use the mega ultra hold like I did in the 80's and 90's! LOL I use a more manageable spray. I have crazy hair too. Mine is thinning on top so bad and I hate it. I have to do a lot of teasing to hide it, but I don't mind cause I LOVE me some big hair!

ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite right now :( not happy with my hair lately. I am do for a cut and color only I haven't decided on the cut. I use to use this product and I remember it was awesome. Got to get me some!

ReplyDeleteyou know i had roommates in college that used aqua net or i think rave extra hold #4 ??? it would get EVERYWHERE! their curling irons & rollers were covered in that extra thick stuff. i did use hairspray, but not as much since i am naturally curly.
uhh, we need to see some pics of that new hair "DO" sister!!! show it off.

I was definitely a Aqua~net junkie from the 80's, that stuff worked! I loved my big hair days!!!! Oh well, I do want to say Big Sexy hairspray is awesome. I use it and the salon I go to uses it as well. Thanks for sharing and the laugh!!
