Wrapped Planters

I am so wanting ... Spring to be here NOW!!!

I was in the Dollar Tree the other day and saw a pack of three plastic planters... and right next to them was jute!
Wooohoo!

I decided to wrap the planters in jute as a sort of Ballard knockoff... even though it is lamps I am drooling over

This craft was so easy!!!
All I needed was a scissors and a glue gun along with the jute and planter...
I wrapped and glued and glued and wrapped...

All done...

Snip off the ends...

Wait for spring... and make 2 more that look completely different than the first one!
I used two rolls for the three planters

I may add a monogram from Hobby Lobby ... or a ribbon pr something else to this by the time late spring gets here... you'll have to wait and see!

  1. Thanks for stopping by. Great planter. It would really look good with the ribbon or monogram added to it. I did not know they sold jute at the Dollar Tree.

  2. I am so glad that I read your post today! We just bought three houseplants and are in desperate need of planters. But most of the nice planters I've seen are at least $15-20 EACH! I've been thinking of a way that I can dress up some cheap plastic ones (spray paint, maybe?). I may have to try this jute idea. How much jute did you have to buy for these three planters?

  5. Patricia-These are bound to be a LOT cheaper than Ballard :)--no matter how much jute you use! How often did you have to glue it down?
