So excited...

my friend is coming over for tea!
This is a BIG step for me
I know it sounds crazy but I rarely invite anyone over
because I am always worried that my house is not clean enough or that I would burden the person...

Come on... I need to live and invite and enjoy!

So she is coming over tonight for TEA...
I have about 12 varieties just sitting here and now someone will enjoy a cup or two with me!

I keep waiting for the "right" time... and have FINALLY come to the conclusion that there is NO right time!

  2. OH, I am so much like you!!! I don't invite friends to spend time with me either. I'll even go to the movie alone if I can't talk someone in my family to go with. Don't want to bother anyone. Also, not clean enoughhouse. SO...I'm glad you did it. Hope you had a great time.

  3. I entertain people all the time. My kitchen is clean and my bathroom is clean (when they are coming over that is) because if I am feeding them they should see clean prep areas.
However the rest of my house gets taken "as is" If I didn't sweep up the dog hair in the stairway then leave your shoes on. If you don't want to read those newspapers on the couch then toss them on the table.
You know what? They all come back again and again...and again because they feel comfortable and welcome. They can drop in anytime.
When I visit them and their apologies start about their messy homes I stop them right there and say "I didn't come over to see if your house was clean I came over to see you".
Enjoy life before it has passed you by.
Your other option is to keep a few get well card around to put out when people come by so they will think you have been ill and couldn't clean. Lol.
