I joined the I LOVE SUMMER PARTY
There is so much that I ADORE about summer but here is the beginning of what I love about summer...
PLANTING!!!
I will be honest
I was never a huge fan of marigolds..
until one day I read that they keep the critters away
We have a woodchuck the size of a full grown boxer dog
that thinks we plant luscious flowers for his sole enjoyment
I read that in the buffet of life, woodchucks will stay away from them... we shall see!

A few years ago, I planted a garden of weeden...
This small garden (6'by 2')
Has lilies and dead nettle and hostas and sunflowers & of course weeds
Here is a sample of what I hang on the fence
a tin weatherd welcome hanger
with ivy that is just starting to come back to life and a marigold and a nest with a small egg
Mr bunny got a new home this spring in a vintage crock from the Utica Co that was handed down to me by my uncle
He is sitting among about to be sunflowers and some frilly purple flowers and some birch sticks
I imagine this pot will fill in very nicely if the frost and clouds would go away!
Here is a sample my hanging baskets this year
I could not tell you what is in them because I picked what I liked and planted it
A lot of the plants are perennials which I adore because then I don't have to worry next year
This is just a hint of what we have in our yard and garden...
more to come through the summer!
Our tomato garden is 36 plants of yummy goodness...
stay tuned....
I love planting flowers too during the summer and love fresh veggies from hubby's garden! Thanks for participating in my "I Love Summer" Party!!
